Use and maintain templates
Create a new Sheet from a template and keep reusable structures trustworthy.
- Open Templates in the workspace navigation.
- Select the Leadbase-wide, team, or private tab that contains the template.
- Open the template preview and check the columns before you use it.
- Choose Use template, provide the new Sheet’s details, and open the result.
- Rename the new Sheet for the project and verify access before you add sensitive data.
Using a template creates a separate Sheet. Editing that new Sheet does not change the template or other Sheets made from it.
Save a good template
From an eligible Sheet’s actions menu, choose Save as template. Give it a title and description that answer two questions: what repeatable job it supports, and what a person should prepare before using it. Choose the intended scope carefully: private templates are for your own reuse, team templates are for the active workspace, and Leadbase-wide templates are the shared catalog.
Keep template columns stable and use clear names. A template should describe a repeatable starting point, not preserve a snapshot of data that only made sense for one project. Review its preview after updates and archive an obsolete template rather than leaving competing versions in the catalog.
Only the people with the applicable template-management access can edit metadata or archive a template. Template access does not automatically grant access to every Sheet created from it.
